The Pagan Force of Santa Claus Shines Through This Season

Every season, we see the central-most section of the local malls cordoned off to become the Official Santa Zone Photo Experience Spectacular. Every year I look at the lack of lines for the highly produced faux winter scene, harboring a lonely Santa with the want of conversation poised in his eyes. The photo staff usually keep their 10-foot distance, never venturing past the comfort of the camera lens, only to discuss their own affairs over a shining digital screen full of children's dreams and, too often, nightmares. This is the holiday slice that is present in every winter's mall visit. Tradition for tradition's sake is cause for question, so with that in mind let's answer that question before tragedies like these strike again.

What can we do to stop the Santa Sadness?

The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of Niggy Tardust

New album from Saul Williams, produced by Trent Reznor. Includes a surprisingly more than decent cover of "Sunday, Bloody Sunday". Sort of following the Radiohead/every-indie-band-you've-ever-heard-of business model, you can choose to pay for this music (a more than fair $5) or get it for free. Paying the $5 gets you a higher quality mp3, but the free ones are already 192kbps anyway, so... you make the choice. I'm going to pay the $5 because Saul Williams is dope as hell.

Executive Koala

My god. I have found new inspiration in this world. Who says there's no such thing as an original idea any more? Although movies like Executive Koala could be cranking out of Japan on a regular basis, for all I know. This movie gained a lot of popularity in Japan and Australia , which is far too stereotypical to be ironic. Unfortunately, the film is only available without subtitles, which may or may not make it better. Only first-hand exposure will give real results. It will probably end up being something like The Ring, though, and turn us all into murdering salary-man koalas.

Anyway, Executive Koala, final review-- March of the Penguins meets American Psycho. All of the fluffy homicidal action you could want.

Hayden Panettierre likes to lick... stuff

It's exactly what it sounds like. And these are just the pictures that could be found at the time. Just imagine how many more of these moments are out there, or that weren't even photographed.

Fetish or quirk? Either way, there's phenomenal video game potential.

File under things that I would buy if I had all the money in the world

Saw this hoody from Kid Robot and pretty much decided that I should become a rock star so they would give it to me for free instead of spending the actual bones to get it. Unless you're reading this, Kid Robot... in that case, I am a famous man and people will see me wearing your clothes. Give.

Great if you like songs about being sick in someone's mouth because you're drunk and you love them.
